Programmes

TDH Germany supports projects and initiatives in five countries in Southern Africa. These are Namibia, Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, the latter three being priority countries.  Focal working areas derive from the organisations international strategic goals, which are advancing child and youth participation, creating safe spaces for children and protecting them from violence and exploitation, as well as promoting a healthy environment for children. All country programmes also include projects to realise children’s right to play and mainstream child-safeguarding mechanisms at institutional and project level. Furthermore, issues of child rights violations are taken up in various advocacy initiatives to put children’s concerns on the national and international political agenda.
